The dashboards are available to anyone purchasing an interactive package and they are accessed via your personal account dashboard.
On receipt of payment new subscribers will receive an email containing their user name and password.
Existing subscribers will have their account upgraded on receipt of payment and can use their current user name and password.
Use these details to log in via the login button at the top right of the website
Once logged in, the menu will change to show My Account, with a drop-down menu to access the dashboards.
Alternatively go to My Dashboard, and click on the Access Interactive Dashboards button.
If you click on a link from an email, you will see this screen if you are not already logged in.
Simply log into your account using this screen and you will be taken directly to the dashboard.
If the dashboards still haven’t loaded after this time, you should check the following:-
- Do you have an ad-blocker running? If so, this can stop the dashboards from loading.
- Some server firewalls can block third-party apps. Check with your IT dept about firewall security levels.
Once you have check the above, clear your cache and browser history and try again.
If the dashboards still don’t load, please give us a ring and we will talk you through the problem.
Each dashboard has it’s own set of filters. These can be demographic filters such as age-group, gender and region, or they can be survey specific filters such as kitchen layout or fridge type.
The filters are located at the top of each dashboard, just under the heading
Simply click on the drop down list and select the filters you’d like to apply. The charts on the dashboard will automatically recalculate to show the data with the filters applied
As you apply the filters, the Sample Size will change to show the number of respondents within the filtered cohort. Keep an eye on this number to ensure you don’t make your cohort too small by applying too many filters.
When filters are applied, a ‘reset’ button appears so you can reset back to the full respondent sample.
All the charts in the dashboards can be downloaded individually and saved to your files for either embedding into a document or printing out.
If you have applied any filters to the dashboard, the filtered version will be downloaded.
Simply hover your mouse over the top right of the chart you want to print and click on the 3 dots for ‘more options’ > ‘export’, then chose either PDF or image
Choose the settings you require for your chart, then click export and save
Top Tip: Double the Width and Height dimensions for a better quality image with more detail. If data figures don’t show on your exported image, increase the width and height dimension before exporting.
We love creating charts so if there’s a chart you’d like to see, let us know and we’ll add it to the dashboards if we possibly can.
There are an infinite number of ways we can combine different aspects of the survey to create deeper insights. For example, if you wanted to see a chart which showed kitchen layouts by kitchen style, or food waste by kitchen storage, we can create these charts for you and upload to the dashboard.
The best thing to do is to give us a ring or drop us an email, and we can discuss your chart requirements.
Note: The charts all relate to the individual questions asked within the online survey, the majority of which are structured for quantitative responses and these are added to the dashboards as they can have the interactive filters applied.
However, a number of questions are structured for qualitative responses which are analysed in a different way and cannot have the interactive filters applied. This responses for these questions are shown in the PDF report but not included on the dashboards.
Yes you can.
We have added the filters we feel are the most relevant to the dashboard topic, but are very happy to add further filters to give you the insight you require. All the data can be filtered by any aspect of the survey so just let us know which filter you’d like to apply.
The sample size refers to the number of respondents for each section of the research. Most sections will include the full quota of respondents, however some respondents will skip sections that are not relevant to their personal circumstances, for example respondents without microwaves will skip this section in the kitchen surveys, in the same way that respondents without downstairs cloakrooms will skip this section in the bathroom surveys.
In addition to this, the sample size will change when the dashboard filters are applied and will show the number of relevant respondents for the filtered view.
Top Tip: Apply the filters one at a time and keep an eye on the sample size as you are doing so to make sure the sample size remains large enough to provide meaningful insights.

Where a survey question allows the respondent to select more than one option in their response, the percentage figure in this scenario is not accurate. This unfortunately is one of the shortcomings of the analytics software we use for the dashboards, which calculates the percentage figure as the percentage of the total number of responses not the total number of respondents. We are working with the software engineers to resolve this issue and in the meantime will continue to show the response data as ‘count’ until we can publish accurate ‘percentage’ figures.
If you are viewing the dashboard on a tablet or mobile phone, you may not see all of the data labels as the dashboards are not fully mobile responsive and when viewed on a small screen some of the data is hidden.
The dashboards are best viewed on a desktop or large screen laptop and hovering the mouse over any chart will show a tooltip with the full data information.
